Starting a Business

Does the thought of working for a company make you cringe? We have all heard that “being your own boss” and “doing what you really want to do” and making a living doing it is the ideal way to work.  But how do you actually do it? It is a complicated decision to make, especially after one assesses all the demands made on his or her time and life.

How do you know if you may want to start your own business?
  • Do you have specific expertise in something that could be leveraged into a business opportunity?
  • Are you so passionate about something that you could seeing doing that day in and day out and not get bored?
  • Do you find where you were/are working to be overly constraining?
  • Are you comfortable with being uncomfortable, that is, are you ok with diving head first into the deep and knowing you will find a way to swim?
If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, you may be thinking about being an entrepreneur.
